#51 don't moan so much, don't moan SO MUCH!

All right.

Fellas? Can I get up and do my thing?

Now I want everybody to get on the 1. Get up and get down.

Hop onto the singletrack at the point which would appeal to Lon Chaney Jr. Ride it. Feel them 23s drift. Come on ride it!

Ease on down the Big Sur coastline until you reach the most parasitic trailhead in the county. The signage on the Best Side makes no mention of bikes. That means "GO!"

You can ride singletrack over the Pacific...

wrap that point back to the 1, continue South.

Act like you know.

OMG, the poison oak was over powering...a trail only a Midwesterner could love. Wear shorts.

Wow. This place was oceany. The seals were eyeballing me. I did not linger.

Wet. Mucky. I expected crabs to creep out.

And after I saw the goods, I really expected crabs to creep out.

Brothers and Sisters, this spot was a fine place to have a beer. Nicely done. Super sweet jaunt down the coast, which I never do and should- so it was great. Add in the singletrack sides? Hello fun!

#32 table for 2, name of party? "Sucka"

Time to get your climb on. There are many ways to get up here, all Good. There are many ways to leave from here, but only one way to get down.

Have you seen that vigilante man?

I hear he makes a mean breakfast. All's I can say is: you're gonna want to set a while, but this spot is more suited to the end of the day than the beginning. Maybe bring the stove and some eggses, cook up a little dinner and watch the sun go down.

Sorry the box is crumpled. I had to do that to get it to fit in my musette.

So. All my fancy Brooks saddlebags are breaking. For reals, 2 out of 3. The bag supports on the Brooks saddles are square edged/thin enough to eat up the straps. I find this very disappointing. You'd figure the limey bastards would make their designed-to-be-paired-products compatible. Nope, not if you carry so much as a tube, a patchkit, a mini-tool.

But today I outsmarted them.

12 has been swept from the market

Dear friends,

Again, VeloCache has brought me joy and diversion on an otherwise practiced commute. This time I stopped by Ye Olde Boat, which I believe was put on land to let passersby and sightseers know that there's an ocean nearby. It was raining, too, which made the scavenging all the more adventurous.

Now had it not been raining, I might have explored the vessel a bit more, but for the stormy skies I ventured but an arm over her edge to reach for the cache.

And treasures ahoy! I found myself Hamm's enough to drown a lass, and a left hand's flaskful in case of squall. And let's not forget a visibility vest, arm warmers, and a reflective choker for the wearing, and some stickers too. Arrrr!

To close, a joke by Kris: What do you call a stuttering pirate?
Inarrrticulate!
